Experiences: What Do You "See"?

Mark 8: 22-25

What you choose to "see" has and will always be determined by you and only you. By "SEE" here I refer to what you choose to become your constant or what you choose to be defined by in your life. For many persons there life experiences has led them to one state of perception and that’s one of doom and gloom with that little bit of hope which can spark a change in there whole existence. For others all they belief is left to do is take the plunge and end themselves.

Jesus healed a man once and asked what do you see? The man’s reply was I see men as trees.  What was really happening? The truth of the matter is that often times there are individuals in our lives who touch us in a very special way however we still need another touch, so that instead of seeing things in the wrong way we can see them as they truly appear.

As individuals who are streaming along the mechanics of time we all encounter situations which add significant experiences to our to core however there’s no single experience that teaches us everything we need to know. One experience may teach us only how to do the thing while the other may teach us how to use that thing which we have previously learnt to our advantage. Often times it takes years for us to understand the value of our experiences and to truly come to terms with them. Its then that we can start benefiting from what once were guilt ridden, sad, emotional roller-coasters or even moments of tremendous happiness that we didn’t even take the chance to truly relish.

What do you see?

I see me the person I am.

I see me the person I ought to be.

I see me but not only me.

I see who I was.

I see who I aspire to be.

Its all me not who you want me to be.

I am free to be because I am me.

I am the very clearest expression of me.

I am what my Creator designed me to be.

I am me, the me that I see within me.

I may not yet be complete but God is working on me.

I may not be liked but I love me for me.

I may not be beautiful but there’s beauty in me.

I may not be for you but I am for me.

I may not be like you but I am like me.

What do you see? I see me I see who I am

and who I want and need to be.

PATH FINDER OR FAULT FINDER

There are two (2) kinds of people in this world; its either you’re a Path Finder or a Fault Finder. Do you see the good in everything and even the bad as well and use that to chart the way forward or do you get stuck on everything that has gone wrong and use that as justification to not move forward with your life?   Path finders are resolute and stand on the promises that were/are declared over their lives because for them nothing can stop them from advancing to the next phase of their life. Interestingly enough they don’t see failure as a stop sign but rather they see failure as an opportunity to pause and make an assessment to re-establish themselves before moving forward once again. The reverse is also true for Fault Finders instead of working with the ninety nine percent (99%) of things that have gone right they find the one percent (1%) and zoom into it so much so that it becomes magnified as the 99%.   What do you really see? Do you see possibi...

Many Hats

For many years I've been wearing many hats yet the thing that hurts is that none of those "HATS" were mine. At anytime all the positions that I occupied could be literally taken from me at any point then it hit me. Why not create a hat made by me and only for me that I have control over, that works for me in the way that I want it to work.    So I took a leap of faith and launched out into many new experiences seeking to unearth the path that would guide me to that one discovery that I felt would make me satisfied. I wanted to have a "HAT" that would work even when I wasn't because its so designed that exceptional is the true highlight.  Still not sure what a "HAT" is then its basically anything that is tangible that can be taken from you in away that "cuts you to the core" until it leaves a scare of your heart. Yet it's something that you are able to gain strength from if you decide to get pass yourself and the fear of loosing out a...

Unmasked: Armored for the Pandemic

Ephesians 6: 10-18   The true pandemic that we face in our society today is sin, aside from the Bubonic Plague of the 14 th century, the Spanish Flu of 20 th the century and the Covid19 of 21 st century its sin that has remained the one constant throughout the centuries. Sin is simply the transgression or breaking of the law of the Creator. (1 John 3:4) So while we are able to use the many medical recommendations as precautionary measures to keep us safe the Apostle Paul in Ephesians also created a guideline that all can follow to keep themselves safe from this pandemic called sin.   For the evil one can transform himself and appear as an Angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:4) and deceive you so that you believe a lie. With this said it becomes wisdom for us to ensure we put on the whole Armor of God so that we can stand fast against the plans of the enemy.   Approaches to Preventing Pandemics   The Medical Approach   The...
