An Election Year

2 Peter 1: 10

Across the global 2020 elections loom from Africa to Oceania and from Europe to the Americas with over more than one hundred nations set to send their citizens to elect a new government to the most high ranking post in their country. Yet a deadly virus (Covid19) has in many regions affected the election process as was the norm causing governments to delay or suspend elections however for the most part many have gone ahead to allow the people to exercise their franchise (vote). In a time where the central focus of the general populace seems to be focused on the Covid19 situation, the governments around the world have taken the stance that its important for the processes of government to continue. With regards to holding elections amidst the threat of a deadly virus, you may say is putting the life of electors in jeopardy, what it comes down to is choice. Its good that we look to the idea that no one can/should force the hand of an elector to go out and vote.  So the decision of putting one's safety at risk to exercise one's franchise comes down to individual liberty.

So it is as well in the Biblical context as the Apostle Peter makes it clear that you should "make your calling an election sure because if you do these things you have not fail"   (2 Peter 1: 10) The essence of this message is that no matter what is happening around you eternal life or death comes down to your own decisions/choices. Success or failure in this life will come down to your own will. So whatever you desire in this life you have to want it enough to make it happen because it will not just fall out of the sky into your lap. Get up and go for what you want in life. Today you should choose to vote for your success and move toward that end.

The Faces of Religion

Ultimately the many faces of religion serve as its mark of identity. These dimensions/faces are all important and thus form a critical feature religion right across the world. Let’s see if your able to identify the dimensions/sides of religion in the poem below;     Faces of Religion   Mythical creatures plague the world that we know, their found in the books of the modern era and even those of old such as the Bible, the Koran and more.   They thrill us with great experiences and cause emotions to flood over our soul. PATH FINDER OR FAULT FINDER

There are two (2) kinds of people in this world; its either you’re a Path Finder or a Fault Finder. Do you see the good in everything and even the bad as well and use that to chart the way forward or do you get stuck on everything that has gone wrong and use that as justification to not move forward with your life?   Path finders are resolute and stand on the promises that were/are declared over their lives because for them nothing can stop them from advancing to the next phase of their life. Interestingly enough they don’t see failure as a stop sign but rather they see failure as an opportunity to pause and make an assessment to re-establish themselves before moving forward once again. The reverse is also true for Fault Finders instead of working with the ninety nine percent (99%) of things that have gone right they find the one percent (1%) and zoom into it so much so that it becomes magnified as the 99%.   What do you really see? Do you see possibilities even in the
