Romans 5: 1-5/2 Timothy 4: 6-8
For many persons, the land is as dangerous as the sea because of the
many sharks which traverse the territorial areas that is called life. No one
can escape them even though they may try because the truth of it encounters
with sharks help to add substance to one’s experiences. Life is designed so
that sharks are an ever-present danger to test your faith. The Apostle Paul in
his writings to Rome opines that tribulation (sharks) leads to patience and
patience, experience; experience, hope (Romans 8: 4-3).
Land Sharks appear in many different forms such as people, places and things yet even so we have to push through because we have a resilient nature which lies at our very core, we want to survive; we need to survive. It’s as Charles Darwin puts it that we will adapt rather than choosing to simply no longer exist. Not all sharks can be conquered or avoided but that does not mean that you will be destroyed because when the great sailors faced up to Moby Dick many escaped with their life intact, but their pride shattered.
Becoming the statistic of a shark does not mean that you have not
fulfilled your essential purpose as designed for you by the Creator. The
Apostle Paul himself was killed by his shark which was the mighty arm of the
Roman Empire yet despite this fact he died empty. The notion of dying empty
simply means that you would have completed the purpose for which you were
created. As the Apostle Paul himself
said “I am ready to die because I have fought a good fight, I have finished my
course, I have kept the faith therefore a crown of righteous I shall receive.”
